Graham Kitchener sits down with LTTV to discuss last weekend's win over Wasps and the challenge that awaits the Tigers squad in Sale on Friday night.

Graham Kitchener says there has been a few tired and sore Tigers roaming around Oval Park this week after the "attritional" fixture against Wasps on Saturday afternoon, but knows the group has to recover ahead of what the Leicester lock believes will be a "fired up" Sale side which will welcome them to AJ Bell Stadium on Friday evening.

Speaking to LTTV about last weekend's dramatic win and the challenge that awaits he and his team-mate's on Friday evening, Kitchener said: "It was a pretty attritional game, but we always knew it would be."

"They're not missing too many guys with internationals ... they've got threats across the park and they're dangerous.

"They'll be fired up for it on Friday night."

Looking back on last weekend's gutsy display from a side down on numbers and featuring players out of position, Kitchener said it was "pleasing" to see the desire from the group in the final minutes to secure a much-needed victory in front of more than 25,000 fans at home.

"That feeling to get a win at Welford Road, you can't really beat it ... it's good to get back to winning ways," he said.

"The desire that was shown in the last couple of minutes to keep them out was very pleasing."

Well known for his ability at the line-out, Kitchener also answered questions about the highly-criticised element of Leicester's set-piece game and the improvements after what he describes as "hard work" on the training paddock and consistency following the return of key individuals to the pack.

"It was slightly off and we made a few mistakes ... it's tough to get consistency, but I think that's what we've had since the turn of the year," said Kitchener.

"The hard work is paying off ... we need to make sure we're not taking our foot off the pedal."
