Marcos Ayerza says he was proud to make his 200th start for Leicester Tigers but disappointed with the result in the opening home game of the season.
Ayerza became the 86th player to make a double century of starting appearances for the club, and the first since George Chuter in May 2012.
However, it was not to be a winning occasion for Argentina international prop Ayerza as Tigers lost 34-22 to Wasps at Welford Road.
Ayerza said: “I am happy with 200 starts for Tigers, and happy to keep adding to this great club.
“It’s a shame that we didn’t play at our best. It is only the second game. We have a long season ahead of us and hopefully we have a great year ahead of us.”
