Dendermonde RFC

Dendermonde RFC play their first team games in Belgian Elite League and are the current champions alongside two league-and-cup doubles in 2011/12 and 2015/2016

Formed in 1962, the club is the only team from the Flanders region of Belgium to play in the top flight, and boasts men’s and women’s squads, a veterans’ team and youth squads from under-six to under-18.

Playing in their traditional colours of green and yellow, Dendermonde RFC is made up of 10 age groups, with the Sport Complex Sint-Gillis hosting events, camps and socials throughout the year.

The club also hosts the country’s biggest 10s tournament each year with The Flanders Open welcoming more than 5,000 from across Belgium and the world.

In 2018, former Leicester Tigers lock Joe Cain was named head coach of Dendermonde RC in Belgium following two seasons with fellow Global Partner Club KL Tigers.
