Leicester Tigers U18 suffered their first Academy League defeat of the season, the cubs going down 26-22 against Saracens at Mattioli Woods Welford Road.
Scottish U18 international Sam Byrd's try looked to have given Tigers the win in the 68th minute, but a try from Saracens with the clock in the red would deny them a third successive victory.
Jamie Longyear, Christian Gordon-Astbury and Joe Vesty were also on the scoresheet for Tigers, Vesty chipping in with a conversion as well.
Tigers take on Northampton Saints this Saturday at Cinch Stadium @ Franklin's Gardens.
