The matchday squad for Sunday's Premiership Women's Rugby away game against Sale Sharks has been named.

In the first outing for Tigers at Salford Community Stadium, Tom Hudson's side will take part in the inaugural double header matchday for Sale Sharks alongside Michael Cheika's squad. 

Captain Roisin McBrien makes her 40th appearance for the club after returning from injury last weekend away to Loughborough Lightning.

The pack includes a change up front, with Sophie Benavent starting at prop, and a rejigged back-five, with Julia Omokhuale switching to blindside flanker and Eva Donaldson to the second row.

In the backline, Natasha Jones make her first league start of the season at fly half, which sees Claire Gallagher moved to fullback and Tess Feury on to the wing.

Hudson has also included a quartet of changes to his bench with Alana Bainbridge, Tiana Gordon, Morgan Richardson and Amanda Swartz named among the replacements.

Speaking ahead of the game, Head Coach Tom Hudson said: "This is an important game for both sides; we are chasing that first league win of the season and we know it's a big occasion for them with the double header."

"Managing emotions and clarity in our execution will be key to getting a result here, as will matching that physicality the Sharks are known for."
