Fijian-born back-rower Ifereimi Boladau joined the Leicester Tigers squad on loan from Championship side Nottingham as cover for during the Rugby World Cup at the start of the 2019/20 season.

The 32-year-old has previously represented his country’s 7s side as well as Ospreys, London Scottish and Rotherham Titans in the extended version of the game. As a member of the British Armed Forces he has also represented the British Army in the annual Army Navy fixture held at Twickenham each season.

With head coach Geordan Murphy unable to select nine of his senior squad during the opening weeks of the season as well as incoming forward Jordan Taufua, Boladau’s experience across the back row will offer Tigers a valuable option in the forward pack during the opening weeks of the 2019/20 campaign.
