Izaia Perese joined Leicester Tigers ahead of the 2024/25 season.
Born and raised in Brisbane, Australia, the versatile back broke through at Super Rugby side Queensland Reds, which earned him selection in the Wallabies squad as a teenager but did not gain selection for a Test debut.
Perese left rugby to try his hand in rugby league, with the Brisbane Broncos, before returning to the game with Bayonne in France.
Ahead of the 2021 Super Rugby season, he returned to Australia with the NSW Waratahs and debuted for Australia in 2022. Perese was a part of Australia's 2023 Rugby World Cup squad.
