A Leicester Tigers academy graduate before playing more than 100 games for Worcester Warriors, prop Ryan Bower returned to Welford Road in August 2020, ready for the resumption of the season hit by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Originally a tighthead prop before moving across the front row to loosehead, Ryan played junior rugby at Hinckley RFC and John Cleveland College, and represented England at three age-groups up to the Under-20s while with the Tigers academy.

He made his professional debut as a 19-year-old for Leicester against Ospreys in 2010 and gained experience in two seasons on loan at Nottingham before joining Worcester ahead of the 2014/15 campaign.

After seven first-team appearances in his first spell with Tigers, he made his second debut in the Premiership game against Bath in August 2020.
