Scrum-half
Steve Kenney

A scum-half with an eye for a break, Steve Kenney built an eye-catching partnership with fly-half Les Cusworth and became one of the club’s most consistent players of the 1980s. Making his debut in 1975 just after his 19th birthday, his 365th and final appearance came in the early years of the Courage League in 1990. Kenney played in three successive Cup Finals at Twickenham, famously grabbing the last-gasp winning try in 1979 and adding another two years later.
Born in Edinburgh, he represented England Schools, Colts and Under-23s, while many thought his attacking instincts in a pivotal position should have been rewarded even further.
