The Leicester Tigers academy rounded off a week-long training camp hosted at Denstone College with their first fixture of the season against Leinster on Monday.
Tigers scored five tries in a 33-11 win against their Irish visitors at Denstone in Staffordshire.
After Leinster had taken the lead with a penalty following a scrum, Tigers raced into a 14-3 with two tries from full-back Freddie Steward, both converted by fly-half Jacob Fewtrell.
Tigers, who looked sharp in attack with ball in hand, earned a third try when centre Andre Dunn managed to dot down from his own charge-down as the lead reached 19-3 at half-time.
Leinster claimed the first points of the second half with a try to cut the deficit to eight points before back-rower Thom Smith scored a fourth Tigers try, converted by Sam Costelow, and then Willo Bicknell added a fifth as Tigers built pressure close to the Leinster line. Costelow added a second conversion to stretch the Tigers lead to 33-11.
The academy are back in action in an under-18s festival at Warwick School this week.
