Tigers are top of Heineken Cup Pool 5 after bringing back a bonus point from a 24-19 defeat at the noisy and partisan Stade Aime Giral.
Attention now turns to Sunday’s clash at Welford Road and Murphy wants a pumped up home crowd to give Perpignan a taste of the Tigers atmosphere.
“They are a quality side and it will be tough,” Murphy said. “It was a very partisan place to play.
"Hopefully we can get a big crowd down to Welford Road and the atmosphere will be the same as it was at their ground – but it will be in our favour this time.
“We have fantastic fans who get right behind the team and we want to show them what our hospitality is like!”
Murphy extended his European try-scoring record for Tigers with his 23rd score in the Heineken Cup on Saturday, while Toby Flood kicked the rest of the points including a crucial penalty with six minutes remaining which gave Leicester their bonus point.
“We were a bit disappointed because we left a lot of points out there and we played in fits and starts but there are a lot of positives we can take,” said Murphy. “We knew we would be able to score tries if we kept playing.
“We got a couple of line breaks and they managed to slow the ball down and make it a bit of a mess for us.
“There are things we can work on for next week and what we hope will be a fantastic Welford Road occasion.”
