Dan Cole says that for all the attacking talent on display when Tigers travel to Wasps, the forwards will have a huge say in the Gallagher Premiership clash.
Cole starts in the front row for what will be his 200th appearance for Tigers when the team runs out in Coventry on Sunday.
And he says it is up to the pack to provide the platform from which to attack.
“It was a big improvement from the forwards last week,” he said. “We were 100 per cent playing ball from the scrum and similar with the lineout.
“From that you saw the ability of our backline to attack and do damage. It was a good performance with regards forwards providing the ball for the backs to play-off.
“We are not getting carried away. Wasps are a very good side. We haven’t had the best record there over the past couple of years and we know we need to keep improving.”
