2020/21 SEASON TICKETS & MATCH TICKETS

Q: What is the benefit in purchasing a 2020/21 season ticket now, when games are currently being played behind closed doors and the government has indicated this situation could remain for a while?
A: There are a number of benefits allocated to being a season ticket holder, including exclusive access to a ticket ballot for any game played in front of restricted crowds and the guarantee of your regular place as soon as the stadium is re-opened to full capacity. You can also book with confidence knowing that you will be entitled to a rebate for any game you are unable to attend. You will also play a big part in the club’s business in the face of challenging times since the beginning of lockdown in March 2020. Like all clubs, Tigers have been without matchday income since March and cashflow is vital to fund the rugby department, the stadium, the successful academy set-up and all of the community-led activities operated by the Tigers.

Q: Which games are included in a 2020/21 season ticket?
A: There are 11 home games in the Gallagher Premiership, 2 European Rugby Challenge Cup and 2 Premiership Rugby Cup. There is no pre-season fixture planned before the campaign begins on November 21.

Q: Why has the Club decided to launch a season ticket when the government has suggested no crowd will be present at professional sports events until April 2021?
A: Many of the biggest challenges during the pandemic have been cause by the uncertainty and the ever-changing situation regarding government guidelines and restrictions. Therefore, the Club wanted to provide some solid plans for the new season and the Season Ticket Rebate initiative allows supporters to purchase with confidence, knowing they will be credited if they are unable to attend games due to Covid-19.

Q: What is the Season Ticket Rebate initiative?
A: This is a scheme set up by Leicester Tigers to allow supporters to purchase a season ticket for 2020/21 in the knowledge that they can claim a rebate for any game they are unable to attend due to Covid-19 – when fixtures are played behind closed doors or in front of reduced crowds, or if you feel uncomfortable about attending on health grounds. There is more information on the season ticket pages of the Tigers website.

Q: If games are played with restricted crowd numbers, who gets a ticket?
A: A ballot will be staged with all 2020/21 season ticket holders included. After the ballot is drawn, season ticket holders will be notified whether or not they have been successful via email. As this situation depends on the directive of the authorities and public health guidelines, full details of this process will be announced at a later date.

Q: What if I can’t attend a fixture due to it being behind closed doors or not getting a ticket in the ballot for a game played with restricted crowds?
A: The club has introduced a Season Ticket Rebate for 2020/21 for any matches a season ticket holder cannot attend. The pro-rata calculation is one-fifteenth of season ticket cost.

Q: In the event of reduced crowd number and a ticket ballot, will supporters be placed in their own season ticket seats or will they be designated?
A: If any game is subject to a ballot, seats will be allocated by the club in accordance with the Covid social-distancing and public health guidelines. As parts of the stadium could be affected by these measures and allocation may have to be done at short notice, it will not be possible to reserve your regular seats.

Q: If I am registered disabled, how do I renew my season ticket and how do I claim my free Personal Assistant ticket if there is a ballot? Will they be placed in their own seat or one that is designated for them?
A: If the Personal Assistant is part of your support bubble, they will be allocated a seat with you as normal. It is likely, however, that there will be reduced numbers of disabled seating available in accordance with social-distancing and stadium safety guidelines.

Q: When will I receive the credit for a ticket Rebate?
A: Under the new scheme, Rebates will be paid at two stages in the season – in March and at the end of the campaign – and added to your Tigers account.

Q: Can I use my current Credit in payment for next season's season ticket?
A: Yes, if you opted to leave your money in credit with the club, it can be used against any future season, match ticket purchase or in the Club shop

Q: What happens if my Credit has already been transferred to the Tigers ROARwards scheme?
A: In response to feedback from supporters and the constantly changing position around the pandemic, the Club has decided to postpone launch of ROARwards until the new year. Therefore, Credit will return to your Tigers account.

Q: What if games are postponed again?
A: If games are postponed, your season ticket remains valid for the re-arranged date and you will be eligible for a ballot for the new date for any games played with reduced crowd numbers.

Q: What happens if a game is cancelled?
A: If Premiership Rugby or European Rugby announces that a game has been cancelled due to Covid measures, season ticket holders will be eligible for a Rebate as detailed above.

Q: If I don’t feel safe to come to Welford Road, what does this mean for me?
A: We are aware that some people may feel unsafe or are required to isolate, which is one of the reasons the Rebate initiative has been announced. If you cannot attend due to Covid conditions, you will be entitled to your pro-rata Rebate for any affected games as above.

Q: Are my Direct Debit payments for 2020/21 still being taken from my account?
A: To allow supporters to spread payments over a 12-month period, the club has progressed with the planned payment scheme and will continue to do so for all renewing season tickets. Should you wish to stop payments, you can do so over the phone with a member of the Ticket Office team.

Q: How do I guarantee keeping my seat for when the stadium reopens fully?
A: Season Ticket Holders renewed by 5.00pm on November 14, 2020 are guaranteed to keep their usual seat for whenever the full stadium is opened in the 2020/21 season.

Q: Can I book a free season ticket for an Under-12?
A: Free season tickets for Under-12s accompanied by a full-paying adult are now available only as renewals. This offer is not available to new season ticket-holders in 2020/21.

Q: What happens if I want to change my seat?
A: Contact the Tigers ticket office by phoning 0116 319 8888 (option 2) and they can advise on availability. Current season ticket holders can renew up to 5.00pm on November 14, 2020 after which time any seats which have not been reviewed will be available to general sales.
