Geordan and Lewis return for Tigers

Lewis Moody and Geordan Murphy both return to the Tigers side to face Toulouse in the South of France this Sunday (kick-off 3pm GMT).

Moody is named in the back row, alongside captain Martin Corry and in-form No8 Jordan Crane, with Murphy selected at full back.

Martin Castrogiovanni starts at tighthead prop, with Ben Kay and James Hamilton named in the second row and George Chuter returning to the starting XV at hooker. Seru Rabeni comes into the side on the right wing, with Ollie Smith moving back to outside centre.

Tigers will be looking to build on last weekend’s Heineken Cup victory over their French opponents as they attempt to continue their push for quarter-final qualification.

“Lewis and Geordie are world-class players,” said Tigers forwards coach Richard Cockerill. “The guys that filled their spots did well but they were always going to come back into the team.

“Seru comes on to the wing and Aaron drops to the bench because he’s just a little short of match fitness and, for this weekend, we thought that combination was best.”

Although there are still three pool matches to be played, Cockerill is certain that the Tigers squad will be under no illusions as to the importance of Sunday’s fixture.

“It’s massive for us. It’s a must-win game. It’s up there with Thomond Park from last year, so it’s going to be one of those days.”
