Celia Quansah is exceptional at many things. One of a number of exciting Leicester Tigers signings over the summer, Quansah has been exceptional in the Heptathlon, where she competed against Jessica Ennis-Hill, she was exceptional in Seven's, where she has represented Team GB in the Tokyo Olympics and she's even an exceptional painter, as evidenced by this must-watch from Channel 4.
But it's her drive and work ethic that sets her apart, a desire to improve.
"I did a lot, a lot, outside of training. Lots of individual sessions, sessions with coaches, sessions with other players. It took time but, like anything, the more you do it the better you get at it.
"It's about a commitment to training, wanting to be better. Anyone who puts the time in will get better, you just have to want it enough"
Currently setting her mind on recovery, Quansah has been out with a long-term injury, with a hope she will be back for soon.
"The rehab is going well, I had a bit of a set back in June, I had to have another operation to get some of the metalwork taken out.
"It was very frustrating at the time. Rehab is never lineal but you always want it to be. Being the competitor I am, they said it'd be nine to twelve months so I said I'll do it in eight.
"Sadly it hasn't happened that way, so it'll be close to a year that I've been out by the time I'm back. I just want to get back out on that pitch now, I miss it!"
In this 17 minute interview, the former Loughborough Lightning and Wasps flyer talks about getting into rugby, the power of mindset and how she's been welcomed by the Tigers family.
