Jones to depart Tigers

Leicester Tigers centre Meg Jones will depart the club at the end of the season, joining Trailfinders Women.

Jones joined the club in 2023 ahead of Tigers debut season in Premiership Women's Rugby, scoring on her debut for the club in the opening day loss to Exeter Chiefs.

The Red Rose would go on to make 22 appearances for the club over her two seasons, amassing a haul of 131 points including 15 tries, 25 conversions and two penalties.

In her first season at the club, Jones was awarded the club's Players Player and Supporter's Player of the Year gongs as well winning Premiership Women's Rugby's Player of the Year for 2023/24.

This season, Jones scored 10 tries in just 10 games including a hat-trick in the club's first ever Premiership home win, against Sale Sharks in January.

On the international stage, the 28-year-old was part of the Great Britain squad that competed in rugby 7s at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, while she is currently a vice-captain of the Red Roses, having helped the team to a Grand Slam Six Nations title last year.
