Leicester Tigers Wheelchair Rugby team will start the defence of their domestic title at Leicester’s Morningside Arena in the first Super Series Division One weekend of the 2019/20 calendar.
Last year saw the first team complete an undefeated season to claim top spot for the second year running, and attentions now turn to the prospect of a hat-trick of titles for the club, starting this weekend.
The 2019/20 season marked the formation of a second team for LTWR who, having played two weekend of fixtures already this season, are currently second in Division Three of the Super Series leagues.
Tigers' first team start their season with the first of three weekends of fixtures played between January and the end of March.
The format of each Super Series event sees teams play one another in two separate pools, with the top two teams from each group qualifying for the following day's semi-final and final. Points are then allocated as per each team’s final standings.
And the action gets underway at Leicester’s Morningside Arena (LE1 3UD) this Saturday, January 11 and Sunday, January 12, with FREE entry for all supporters. Parking is available at the venue.
