Four competition winners and guests enjoyed a behind-the-scenes matchday tour of Welford Road courtesy of the Nottingham Building Society ahead of Tigers Gallagher Premiership win over Bristol Bears in the club’s first home game of 2020.

Steve Billington, Lee Robinson, Derrick Tyler and Mark Phillips were the lucky winners in a free prize draw as recent Tigers Regular Saver account holders with The Nottingham. 

The group, which included friends and family, met the club’s head of communications Gary Sherrard who took them on a tour of Welford Road taking in the pre-match operations. 

Not many are lucky enough to visit the changing rooms a few hours before kick-off, and as well as getting up, close and personal with the backroom staff, the group visited each of the stands learning about the club’s rich 127 year history. 

The day got even better, when the group sat down to watch Tigers beat Bristol Bears 31-18 in front of more than 19,000 supporters at Welford Road.
