Leicester Tigers are now accepting nominations from club and school coaches for players to be a part of the Junior Academy (Under-15).
The Tigers Academy, which has produced first-team, international and British and Irish Lions players for the club, has extensive selection criteria.
This includes, but is not limited to:
- Physical Potential – Have players got outstanding physical attributes related to rugby compared to their peers?
- Coachable – Are players engaged in training? Do they ask questions and work on their skills independently?
- Competitive and Hard-working – Do players show an outstanding work ethic compared to their peers, in everything that they do? Do they show a drive to succeed in individual contests and in team games?
- Skill – Does a player have a clear skill set that sets them apart from their peers, that also has a positive impact in games; passing, kicking, ball carrying, tackling and breakdown?
Club and school coaches can submit up to four nominations online HERE. Please try to include at least one player born between June and August.
