Leicester Tigers venture south for the final away game of the 2024/25 season.
Travelling to Trailfinders is a tough ask for any team and Head Coach Tom Hudson described the side as "a team in strong form and with lots of power in their pack."
The sides met in November at Mattioli Woods Welford Road, with the final score of 17 - 36 not reflective of a game Tigers had lead at the hour mark, with the 10 minutes camped on the opposition line ultimately swinging the tie when the visitors intercepted the ball and went the distance.
Hudson added: "We pushed Trailfinders when we played them last but we ultimately were not clinical enough in attack to take advantage of the dominance we showed in the opening hour."
"That's an area we have focused on over the last number of weeks and we've seen our conversion rate in the 22 distinctly improve. We have been able to produce a consistent team selection for the last several weeks and this chemistry will be vital in our final two matches."
That consistency in selection sees just one change to the starting XV from the side's last game, with Katie Childs set to start at flanker.
Ellie Smith is amongst the replacements, the England U20s prop named alongside experienced internationals Julia Omokhuale, Keia Mae Sagapolu Sanele and Tess Feury.
For the visitors, seven changes are made from the starting XV that defeated Sale Sharks Women last weekend.
These include three in the pack, with the two props switched out for North American duo Alivia Leatherman and Rori Wood, and four in the backline with Scotland flyers Liz Musgrove and Chloe Rollie completing the back three alongside Vicky Laflin.
"Every game is important in the PWR and today is no different - with only two games remaining, we want to gather as much momentum as possible to take into our final home game, against Exeter Chiefs next week," said Hudson.
Saturday's game will see two physical packs come head to head, with Tigers enjoying a slight edge at the set piece. Leicester's 120 scrums won are more than any other team, while the seven scrum penalties they have earned are second across the PWR.
Powering those packs are several relentless forwards, with Tigers' Charlotte Fray leading the way.
The lock is sixth across the whole league for tackles made this season (170) and carries made (154) while Fray also made the joint-most tackles (20) of any player in the last round, recording the best tackle success rate (95.2%) among the top ten tacklers of the weekend.
A stylistic matchup for Fray is Trailfinders Abi Burton. The Red Rose made more carries (18) and dominant tackles (three) than any other player last weekend, also scoring a try.
"Charlotte has been a real success story this year," added Hudson.
"She has worked immensely hard at all aspects of her game and demonstrated dramatic improvement, becoming a real lynchpin for our pack. She has been a day one here, since the Championship days, so her development has been fantastic to see."
