Leicester Tigers Women’s head coach, Tom Hudson has reacted to Tigers’ defeat to Harlequins Women at Mattioli Woods Welford Road.
Hudson, despite a much-improved second stanza, was adamant the performance was below his side’s standards.
“Firstly, on behalf of everyone in the group, I have to thank fans who stayed after the men’s game” Hudson said.
“That wasn’t the result or performance we wanted to put in and we know performance levels simply have to be better at home.
“We’ve got to turn up to races when we know there’s a result to be had, not just when we’re up against it like Gloucester away.”
Tigers now look to their next fixture, at home against Trailfinders Women on Sunday, November 3.
“I expect my inbox to be full of clips in the coming days from players looking to improve, looking to solutions in their own performance” Hudson explained.
“There’s a week off now, but we’ll look at it as a collective with the idea that we have to identify the reasons for some of these performances when we know we’ve got better performances in us, especially in the first half and especially at home.”
