Leicester Tigers are anticipating another big crowd for the first international match of this status to be held at the stadium in 10 years.
Although tickets will remain on sale throughout matchday, supporters are advised to reserve their places in advance by calling the Tigers ticket office on 08701 28 34 30 and then pick up from the collection point behind the Next Stand on the way to the game.
The evening’s entertainment includes under-nine and under-10 matches, Irish dancing in the Tiger Bar, music from the band before and after the game in the Tiger Bar, and the chance at half-time for a supporter to win a trip for two to see Saxons and Ireland A again in the Barclays Churchill Cup in Toronto this summer, courtesy of British Airways, the tournament’s official airline.
The big match kicks off at 7.45pm, with both sets of coaches picking strong squads featuring a blend of senior internationals and exciting prospects for the future.
England Saxons are to be captained by Tigers No8 Jordan Crane, with club colleague Ollie Smith named as vice-captain and Tigers’ top try-scorer Tom Varndell named on the wing. Ireland A include Leicester’s Johne Murphy in their backline.
