The group comprising Pam McLaurin, Jill Griffin, Muserat Armjed, Yasmin Sarang, Norine Idris, Firoza Ajij, Kay Dunsanih, Jo Ramsden and Richard Satchwell have taken up the challenge to join the abseil from the roof of the Leicester Tigers home on Saturday, June 21.
Feed the Children UK regional fundraising manager Joy Cartwright said: The staff from Evington Valley have set themselves a target to raise over £900, which is really brilliant.
A freefall abseil is a bit like being lowered from a helicopter to the ground, there is no wall to walk down and you control the speed that you descend by feeding your rope through the harness.
The abseil is open to everyone in Leicester over the age of 12 so wed love to hear from everyone who would like to donate an hour of their time and do a little bit of fundraising for a fantastic cause.
Wed especially like to hear from local groups and companies who might have a group of adventurous people who would like to try a bit of team building.
