While Leicester Tigers and Gloucester Rugby will battle it out at 3.00pm on Sunday for The Slater Cup, members of both clubs will come together before the match to help one another complete a massive challenge in honour of Ed.

Across both days of the weekend, 19-20 October, the almost 30-strong group will cycle 150 miles from Kingsholm Stadium to Mattioli Woods Welford Road.

On the way, they will stop at Milton Keynes RFC, where Ed first played club rugby.

Their finish time will be just after midday on Sunday, ahead of the match, where there will be bucket collections throughout the venue for people to donate to this worth cause.

John Duggan (former Leicester Tigers player) and Dean Ryan (former Gloucester Coach) are among the group taking on the challenge.

Money raised on the day and in the build-up online will be donated to the fight to cure MND. The split of all funds raised will be 50% 4Ed, 25% for the MND Association, and 25% for the My Name'5 Doddie Foundation. You can donate HERE ahead of matchday.

Since December 2021, the group have taken on three cycle challenges and held three bucket collections at Slater Cup fixtures to raise almost £79,000.

The goal, by the end of this season, is to reach £100,000 donated towards finding a cure for MND.
