More than 200 young rugby players took part in the first Leicester Tigers Rugby Camp in over a year, following the government’s easing of lockdown restrictions.
The club made the decision last May to suspend its schedule of rugby camps last year in light of the Covid-19 pandemic in the interest of the safety and welfare of all coaches, staff and young players.
March 29, 2021 marked a huge moment for the rugby community around the UK, as club’s and groups were once again able to take part in organised outdoors sports.
Boys and girls from under-9 to under-16s took part in a four-day camp at Brooksby Melton College which included morning and afternoon sessions with rugby coaches at the colleges sports facility.
