Leicester Tigers Chairman Peter Tom and Chief Executive Officer Andrea Pinchen have paid tribute to Tiffany Youngs after her passing earlier this week.

Leicester Tigers Chairman Peter Tom CBE:

It is a great privilege of mine to have been able to know Tiffany Youngs.

She has been a part of the Leicester Tigers family for almost as long as Tom and her legacy lives on through Maisie.

Her story will provide inspiration for so many for years to come.

While we will talk about the bravery and toughness she displayed throughout her fight, the care and love Tiffany gave to so many at Leicester Tigers will be just as fondly remembered.

The Youngs and Sands families will be a part of Leicester Tigers forever.

The support she gave Tom, as well as Ben and the entire club, was incredible.

Her absence will never not be felt.

Leicester Tigers Chief Executive Officer Andrea Pinchen:

The loss of Tiffany Youngs has been felt through the entire club. She, Tom and Maisie are a part of the Leicester Tigers family and will be forever.

I did not know Tiffany as well as many others. I had the pleasure of meeting her throughout the years on occasion but, like many, did not need to know her well to see what her story has done to inspire so many at the club and much further reaching than that.

She was exceptionally brave and incredibly tough. She was an inspiration to everybody.

Tiffany and Tom, together, have raised an impressive young woman in Maisie who brought so much joy to the entire Leicester Tigers family this season when she stole the show at the farewell game for her dad with her half-time cartwheels.

That, for me, sums up what Tiffany and Tom have done; in the face of so much adversity, they remained positive, they never stopped trying to be positive.

I know there will be many who draw upon Tiffany’s story as inspiration this weekend, as well as for years to come, and that alone sums up what a huge legacy she leaves behind.

In honour of Tiffany Youngs and celebration of her life, there will be a minute of applause ahead of kick-off in the Gallagher Premiership semi-final on Saturday at Mattioli Woods Welford Road.
