Welford Road will recognise the work of the uniformed services at Leicester Tigers’ next home game against Wasps in the Gallagher Premiership on Saturday, February 15 (3.00pm).
Matchday will involve a number of activities for fans as well as a match ticket discount available for supporters and groups who are active or former members of the uniformed services.
Representatives from Leicester Police and Ambulance services, as well as the RNLI, Navy, RAF Reserves and Royal Anglian Regiment will showcase information on the work they do and there will be specialised vehicles and equipment on display on the plaza outside the Holland & Barrett Stand before kick-off.
Stalls with representatives from the services will also be open on the plaza with information and activities for fans alongside music from a marching band.
At half-time, the club will formally mark its commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant with members of the Tigers board and employees who have served in the military joining representatives from the armed forces on the pitch.
The Covenant includes a commitment to supporting army personnel, reservists, veterans and military families alongside career opportunities, employee support and charity funding.
The club already has strong links with the Royal Leicestershire regiment and recognises the uniformed services at a Remembrance Fixture each season.
If you are a current or former member of the uniformed services and would like to take advantage of our special discount ticket rate, please email [email protected] or call 0116 217 1216 and find out more.
