Leicester Tigers' fixtures for the 2023/24 Allianz Premiership Women's Rugby campaign have been revealed, with the exact dates and kick-off times for the opening rounds still to be confirmed. We can confirm that all home fixtures will be played at Mattioli Woods Welford Road.
Leicester Tigers are set to welcome last year's runners-up Exeter Chiefs to Mattioli Woods Welford Road (W/E November 18) in their maiden bout in Premiership Women's Rugby.
A blockbuster encounter awaits supporters, with player matchups like Leah Bartlett vs Hope Rogers and Charlotte Fray vs Poppy Leitch to look forward to. The South-coast side were prolific last season, leading the league by over 100 points in the top scorers list, earning try bonuses in 16 matches which was also a league record.
Tigers first away game of the season is another top of the table clash, with a trip down to Gloucestershire beckoning in Round 2 (W/E November 25).
Last year's Premiership Women's Rugby winners, Gloucester-Hartpury clinched their first-ever title in a thriller at 'Queensholm' in June of this year, graciously donating their match fees to the 4Ed campaign of former Gloucester and Tigers player Ed Slater.
It's quite the stylistic matchup, with both sides play similar brands of free-flowing, quick rugby, that are likely to delight supporters. A meeting of the speedy 9's will see Tigers' Lucy Nye do battle with last year's RPA's Premiership Player of the Year, Natasha 'Mo' Hunt.
The second home game of the season will be one that many supporters will be eager to mark on their calendars: an East-Midlands derby against Loughborough Lightning (W/E December 2).
This match will also see the first double-header of the fixture of the season, as Tigers men's team will also take on Newcastle Falcons on the same day, ensuring supporters will have a full day out of top-level rugby.
