James Whitcombe will leave the club at the conclusion of the 24/25 season to join Edinburgh Rugby.
The loosehead prop has made 67 appearances for Leicester Tigers since debuting in December 2020 in an eight-point, 20-28, European Challenge Cup away win over Bayonne.
An Academy graduate, Whitcombe was a member of the U18 League squad who won back-to-back titles in 2017/18 and 2018/19, during which time he also represented England U18s. In 2019, he spent a loan period with Sydney University in Australia.
He is the son of former Leicester prop, Martin, who made 68 appearances for the club during the 1980s and qualifies for Scotland through his Falkirk-born grandmother.
On Whitcombe, General Manager Richard Wilks said: "We are proud of the player and person James has grown into since graduating from the Academy and grateful for what he has given on the pitch in the past five seasons."
"Equally so, he has been an important part of the club off the pitch and we will certainly miss his enthusiasm and energy at the club. We wish him all the best in this next chapter of his career in Scotland."
