Leicester Tigers have named their squad for the Singha Premiership Rugby Sevens at Newcastle's Kingston Park on Saturday.
Coaches Brett Deacon and Anthony Allen have named a young group of players to face Worcester Warriors, Sale Sharks and hosts Newcastle Falcons in Group D of the now traditional summer tournament.
The action starts at 3pm with Tigers’ first game against Worcester kicking off at 3.25pm.
Scrum-half Ben White, who last season became the youngest Premiership player in Tigers’ history when he came off the bench in the home game against Harlequins, has been named as captain.
The squad includes England Under-18 international Sam Yawayawa, who played in the Aviva Premiership A League for the Tigers Development XV last season, and Jordan Olowofela, who is making his second appearance in the Singha Premiership Rugby Sevens after being part of the Tigers squad that competed in last season’s competition.
No8 Fred Tuilagi, the son of former Tigers favourite Freddie, is the seventh member of the Tuilagi family to represent the club. He will be looking to build on his ‘A’ League experience from last season, while Tom Hardwick, the son of former Coventry and England prop Rob Hardwick, is another player aiming to develop his game after run-outs for the Development XV.
Coach Deacon said: “We have a young squad and the Singha Premiership Rugby Sevens will be a good test and a good experience for them.
“It is an opportunity for us to see how well they handle playing in front of a big crowd at an Aviva Premiership ground, and for them to express themselves on a big stage and to show what they can do ahead of the season.”
