Leicester Tigers recorded a first sell-out crowd of the season for Sunday's Aviva Premiership match against Harlequins.
A capacity crowd of 25,849 shared in a 25-6 victory for the Tigers who moved into the top four in the table after eight rounds.
Not only was this a season’s best attendance for Welford Road, but only eight games in football’s Premier League recorded a higher figure over the weekend.
Another bumper crowd is expected for the return to Welford Road on Saturday, December 3 when Tigers host local rivals Northampton Saints in one of the most eagerly-anticipated fixtures of the club rugby season.
East Midlands derbies home and away were sell-outs last season and demand is high for their next encounter which is now less than two weeks away.
Tickets are available now at the Tigers ticket office. Book in person at Welford Road or phone 0116 319 8888 (option 2), open 9am-5pm Monday-Saturday.

Tickets are also on general sale now for the European Champions Cup match against Munster rugby on Saturday, December 17 (3.15pm) and the New Year’s day fixture against defending Premiership and European champions Saracens.
