Leicester Tigers are delighted to announce that Sunday, December 3, will see the club's first-ever Premiership double header, to take place at Mattioli Woods Welford Road.
In the opening match of the day, Tigers men will face Newcastle Falcons in the Gallagher Premiership (kick-off: 3pm). A high-scoring matchup last year, with 128 points scored across just two Gallagher Premiership meetings, supporters couldn't ask for a more exciting game to kick off their full day of rugby.
The second fixture sees Tigers women begin the dawn of a new rivalry as the team face local rivals Loughborough Lightning for the first time in Round Three of Allianz Premiership Women's Rugby (kick-off: 5.30pm).
The two teams enjoyed a roaring success for their first double-header matchday, which saw the men's team play an Italian-select XV and the women set the record for the highest attendance in any domestic rugby fixture outside of the Gallagher Premiership.
This time out we're looking to turn things up to 11, with fans able to enjoy a full day out of top flight rugby, featuring some of the biggest stars from across the rugby world.
With World Cup heroes like Handré Pollard, Julián Montoya and Freddie Steward returning for the men's side, the women's game will give fans one of their first chances to see international stars like Amy Cokayne, Meg Jones and Francesca McGhie who are returning from WXV duties, in what are sure to be a pair of monumental matches for fans to enjoy.
Access to both fixtures is included with both the men's and women's season ticket; women's season ticket holders will be emailed a special code in order to book their seat for the earlier men's fixture.
