Champions Cup pool fixtures confirmed

Leicester Tigers pool stage fixtures have been confirmed for the 2023/24 Champions Cup.

In Rounds 1 and 2, Leicester Tigers will welcome DHL Stormers to Mattioli Woods Welford Road on December 10 before travelling to Paris to face Stade Français on December 17.

This represents the first time that Tigers would face the Stormers, who are a side stacked with household names from South Africa. These include key cogs from the Springbok's World Cup Triumph in 2019 including Steven Kitschoff and Frans Malherbe and young Springbok stars like Manie Libbok and Evan Roos, who will look forward to facing international compatriots Handré Pollard and Jasper Wiese.

In Rounds 3 and 4, Tigers are back in France to face current Champions Cup holders Stade Rochelais on January 14 before hosting 2022/23 Champions Cup runners up Leinster at Mattioli Woods Welford Road on January 20.

This is also the first time Tigers will take on the La Rochelle natives, and fans can look forward to a mouthwatering clash between two European heavyweights. The French club's triumph in 2022/23, after winning their first ever Champions Cup the season prior, represents the fifth time a team has won the competition twice in a row, with Tigers the first club to go back-to-back in 2000/01 and 2001/02.

Leinster, meanwhile, represent far more familiar foes, having faced Tigers in the knockout stages of the last two years of the competition.

The new multi-pool format will be played over eight weekends with four pool stage rounds and four knockout stage rounds culminating in the London 2024 finals which will be staged at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium next May.

We can confirm that the two games to be played at Mattioli Woods Welford Road (against the Stormers and Leinster) are included in 2023/24 Season Tickets.
