Supporters travelling to Welford Road for this evening's match should note that a proposed protest by taxi drivers in the city centre is expected to affect some routes in the city.A protest by a convoy of taxis is planned for 4-6pm using one lane of a route from the Racecourse along London Road towards the city centre, using St Matthews Way, Belgrave Gate, Charles Street and past City Hall.
Martin Fletcher, head of highways at the City Council, told the Leicester Mercury: "It is inevitable that there will be some disruption on Friday afternoon and early evening, and people travelling in and out of the city need to bear this in mind when planning their journeys."
Signs have been placed along the route and marshalls will be in place.
Please allow extra time for your journey to Welford Road if possible ahead of kick-off at 7.45pm as Leicester Tigers host Stade Francais Paris in the opening match of the European Rugby Champions Cup. Tickets are available now.
