Gustard included in Sarries side

Former Leicester Tigers back row Paul Gustard has been called into the Saracens side for Sunday's Guinness Premiership match against his old club.

Director of rugby Alan Gaffney has made just one change to his starting line-up following the win at Worcester Warriors last weekend, with the 31-year-old Gustard returning from injury to claim a place at blindside flanker for the Tigers encounter at Vicarage Road.

Prop Tom Mercey returns after missing the Worcester game with David Seymour also coming on to the bench.

Full-back Francisco Leonelli is injured, while Moses Rauluni, Kameli Ratuvou and Fabio Ongaro were not considered for selection after their return from the World Cup.

Tigers Grounds Team win industry award

The club's Grounds Team have been recognized for their efforts by winning the Professional Rugby Union Grounds Team of the Year award at the 2025 Grounds Management Association Industry Awards. 

Held at Anfield, the home of Liverpool FC, the Leicester Tigers team were nominated up against fellow Gallagher Premiership clubs Bristol Bears and Northampton Saints.

Representing the club at the awards were the four members of the Grounds Team: Ed Mowe, Cheryl Hill, Josh Pawley, and Mitch Bailey.

The quartet are responsible for not only the maintenance of the Mattioli Woods Welford Road pitch but also the club's Oval Park and Oaks Park training fields.
