Captain of the Swedish national rugby team, co-captain of the Swedish 7s team and one of Leicester Tigers newest signings, Amanda Swartz has accomplished a lot in rugby despite being just 22 years old.
As someone who grew up surrounded by the game, it was perhaps inevitable the speedster would go on to make an impact.
"I was stubborn at first and refused to play!
"But rugby's always been a big part of my family; I'd always go down to watch her play, every big rugby game and event would always be on and everyone would come round our house, so it was a natural switch for me when it came down to it"
Initially a competitive figure skater, Swartz made the transition to rugby as a teenager, the silky footwork picked up in skating a great transferable skill for a tricky back.
