The origins of Leicester Tigers' rivalry with Bath Rugby goes way back.

Definitely too far back for Leicester Tigers scrum-half Jack van Poortvliet. 

Still, as an Academy graduate, van Poortvliet knows what Leicester vs Bath means. 

"We know it's a massive game," van Poortvliet admitted. 

"It's spoken about by supporters as that sort of, 'second rivalry' to Saints obviously, coming from the times when the two teams were top of the league.

"They've turned things around really well the last couple of years, and were probably unlucky last year to lose the final in some ways so it's going to be a battle but it's one we'll enjoy. 

"As I said, it's a game that carries a lot of history as a Tigers player so we'll be right up for it."
