Organisers collected donations and money raised from sales of a special ChildLine key-rings around Welford Road, while Tigers supporters Gary and Julie Dawson paid £255 for a giant NPSCC rugby ball signed by the squad, all to benefit the NSPCC Child’s Voice Appeal, a £50million fundraising campaign to answer more calls to ChildLine and the NSPCC Helpline for adults worried about a child.
Julie Dawson was able to collect the signed ball from Tigers’ NSPCC ambassador Richard Blaze and teammate Boris Stankovich on the Welford Road pitch at half-time.
