Leicester Tigers scrum half Jack van Poortvliet has earned a spot on England's bench for Sunday's clash against Italy at Allianz Stadium, Twickenham.
Van Poortvliet joins Ollie Chessum and Joe Heyes in Steve Borthwick's match day squad, van Poortvliet having impressed as captain of England A' against Ireland.
Chessum put in a remarkable shift in the second row in England's victory over Scotland and retains his starting jersey. Heyes, who has looked rock solid in England's finishing group, will wear the 18 jersey once again.
