The Run In begins in Bristol for Michael Cheika's side, taking on the Bears at Ashton Gate Stadium in Round 14 of the Gallagher Premiership.

Sitting just one place, and five competition points, apart on the league ladder, there is plenty to play for with this season's competition as close as ever.

KEY STATS

Handré Pollard is just one successful shot at goal away from bringing up a century of points in the Premiership this season, with 98 points from 27 conversions, 12 penalty-goals, 1 drop-goal, and a try in his 10 appearances.

It has been a happy hunting ground at home for Bristol so far this season, with the Bears unbeaten at Ashton Gate in all competitions to date.

HEAD-TO-HEAD

The sides have met on 194 previous occasions; Tigers have won 98 of the meetings, while Bristol have won 86 and 10 games have been drawn.

Ashton Gate Stadium has hosted only nine of the fixtures between the clubs, of which Leicester have won three.

FUN FACT

LAST MEETING WITH BRISTOL: MICHAEL CHEIKA

"We didn’t play well, they did and the scoreline showed it. We got a few scores in that game but we have away way too many. We’ve worked hard since then – it was probably the start for us of seeing the main things in defence that we wanted to improve.”

“We had to go through change and while going through it you’re more up and down in what you’re doing. These last few weeks we started to get a handle on it – although we gave away a couple of tries in Glasgow, I thought we were much more aggressive in defence. We have to tie up a few more loose ends around tightening our defence after kicks. Apart from that, I feel we have tightened ourselves up since then.”

“We know they’re going to run the ball a bit but I think we can take that game at home as good motivation.”

CURRENT STANDINGS IN THE LEAGUE

“We’ve probably missed a couple of opportunities to be higher up the ladder. When I say a couple, I literally mean one or two that we really could have nailed and didn’t take points.”

“I feel good because I know we’ve done a lot of work to prepare. There’s no good time to become consistent there’s just the time you become consistent, you don’t have to wait for it, it’s about doing it now or doing it when you feel capable of doing it, if you’ve done the work and you’re confident in yourself.”
