Leicester Tigers are pleased to announce Scottish international lock Cameron Henderson has signed a new deal with the club.
Henderson, 25, joined Tigers in 2020, making his senior debut at home against Bath in August of that year.
Born in Hong Kong, Henderson was initially part of Leicester’s U18 programme before he moved up to Scotland to be part of their national academy, later representing his country at U20 level.
Henderson would go on to make his full test debut in 2023.
After an unfortunate spell on the sidelines through injury, Henderson returned to the field in December’s clash with the Hollywoodbets Sharks. He has since started all six games for Leicester Tigers, across the Gallagher Premiership and Investec Champions Cup, making his 50th appearance for the club against Harlequins at the end of last year.
Discussing the new deal, Henderson said: “I’m delighted to be re-signing with this club that has given me so much.”
“It was a no brainer to extend my time here. Playing in front of the fans at Tigers is very special and I don’t take it for granted.
“I’m excited to continue my journey here and I will do everything I can for the team to achieve success and win silverware.”
Leicester Tigers head coach, Michael Cheika added: “We are very happy Cam has chosen to be with us here at the club.”
“I’ve only had the chance to work with Cam properly since he came back from his injury, and I have really enjoyed his commitment.
“He’s an excellent professional, and he has already stepped up into the international ranks with still plenty of potential to discover.”
