James Voss has taken another step towards his dream of playing Premiership rugby with a move to Leicester Tigers.
The second-rower, who has been playing at Championship level with Jersey, arrived at Tigers this week and was in the stands for Monday’s Premiership ‘A’ League game against Sale Jets.
“I’m really pleased to be here,” he said. “Obviously the dream is to play Premiership rugby so to be one step closer to finally achieve that is a massive thing, especially at a place like Leicester Tigers.”
Voss had a spell with Gloucester and played at Hartpury before returning to Jersey, where he made his first-team debut as a 17-year-old.
“I’ve always dreamt of playing in the Prem, especially at a team that bases itself on physicality like I do in my own game,” he said.
“I want to learn, I want to get better. I’m going to work hard and see what happens while learning from the people around me.”
