Anthony Allen is among a team of rugby players behind a charity single recorded to support the country's servicemen and women.

Leicester Tigers and England centre Allen is a trustee of Rugby for Heroes, the charity which is releasing the song With Pride.

The record is set to be released through iTunes next month and features the vocals of John James Newman.

“We have got a few guys involved in the charity including Mike Tindall, Ryan Lamb, Tom Croft and Jordan Crane,” says Allen, Tigers Players' Player of the Year. “It aims to give injured servicemen and women help and support. We want to help them resettle, rehabilitate and get back into daily life.

“We have recorded a song called With Pride. It is something different and we hope it can help raise money for the servicemen and women.”
