Leicester Tigers and music licensing body PPL PRS have joined forces as the club welcomes them as an Associate Partner for the 2021/22 campaign. 

PPL PRS Ltd is a joint venture between the UK’s two music licensing organisations – PPL and PRS for Music.

Previously, businesses had to obtain a separate music licence from both PPL and PRS for Music. 

However, the two organisations have come together to form PPL PRS and launched TheMusicLicence to provide a streamlined music licensing service, with a single point of contact, to make it easier to legally play and perform music in public.

A Leicester Tigers Associate Partnership package offers an entry-level and flexible solution for businesses to support the club and mix-and-match their business goals.

Mark Davies, head of business development at Leicester Tigers, said: “PRL PRS showed their support for the Club last season by taking one of a seat-covering advertising to promote TheMusicLicence, and we’re delighted to formalise and grow this relationship for the forthcoming season.

“Being relative newcomers to the city of Leicester we are looking forward to working with them to raise both awareness of the Licence and also the organisation, as they continue to spread their roots throughout the Leicester community.”
