Leicester Tigers are pleased to announce PPL PRS have extended their partnership as the club's Official Music Partner.
A joint venture between PPL and PRS for Music, the UK's two music licensing societies, they have simplified the legal playing of music by issuing one licence, TheMusicLicence.
In accordance with The Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988, permission is needed from the relevant copyright holders – those people who create music – in order to play or perform music in public. TheMusicLicence allows you to legally play music for employees or customers in your business through the radio, TV, other digital devices and live performances.
Since joining the club during the 2021/22 season, the partnership has included matchday activations on The Plaza and takeover days with local bands to entertain supporters, a Leicester Tigers-themed song by Joshua Manz and teammates and Pre-Match Playlists on men's and women's matchday chosen by members of the respective squads. Discussing the partnership extension, Leicester Tigers Chief Executive Officer Andrea Pinchen said: "It's fitting that we are announcing the extension of this partnership ahead of the first game of the season, where we can deliver best-in-class matchdays through the combined efforts of PPL PRS and club staff."
