Premiership Rugby and title partner Aviva have announced their support for Rainbow Laces, the campaign run by LGBT charity Stonewall to promote LGBT inclusion in sport.
In support of Rainbow Laces, a new Aviva Premiership Rugby logo is unveiled today that includes a rainbow element which will be used on that dedicated weekend.
Aviva Premiership Rugby Round 9, held on November 24-26, will see:
- Match official shirts to carry the new logo
- Branding at matches to carry Rainbow Laces messaging or be turned rainbow to celebrate the weekend
- Adverts in all match programmes
- LEDs pitchside supporting the campaign
- Pitch-painting at selected matches
- The option for players and staff to wear rainbow laces to show support
- Rainbow Laces to be handed out to fans at all Aviva Premiership Rugby matches that weekend
The weekend will form part of Premiership Rugby’s commitment to work with Stonewall over the coming months.

“We have supported Rainbow Laces since 2014 and we work with a number of organisations on our inclusion work, so this campaign is a natural fit for us.
“As our title partner, we work closely with Aviva on so many areas and we are delighted to be working with them to promote inclusion in our sport by supporting Rainbow Laces.”
Aviva is part of TeamPride, a coalition is a group of major global organisations committed to making sport everyone’s game by supporting Stonewall’s Rainbow Laces campaign.
The Rainbow Laces weekend will be celebrated by Aviva Premiership Rugby on November 24-26.
