Premier Rugby have now announced the Guinness Premiership Fixtures List for 2007-08 including dates and kick-off times for the forthcoming season. The matches to be televised live on Sky Sports in the first 9 rounds were also announced.
Tigers begin the defence of their Premiership crown with a trip to Bristol on Sunday September 16, kick-off 3pm.
On Saturday September 15, the season starts with the traditional London Double Header at Twickenham. Harlequins will play London Irish at 3.30pm followed by London Wasps against Saracens at 6pm. On the same day at 2.15pm, Bath Rugby and Worcester Warriors kick off their seasons at the Recreation Ground, followed on Sunday by newly promoted Leeds Carnegie at home to Gloucester Rugby and northern rivals Newcastle Falcons at home to Sale Sharks.
Tigers' first live television appearance of the season will be on Saturday, October 6, when the reigning champions face beaten finalists Gloucester Rugby at Welford Road. That match will be broadcast on Sky Sports, with kick-off set for 6pm.
The club's next live match will be against Leeds Carnegie on the weekend of November 24/25, with the date and time for that fixture yet to be confirmed. Tigers will then face the live cameras again on Sunday December 23, when they travel to Sale Sharks, kick-off 2.45pm.
