Leicester Tigers travel north in Round 14 of the 2022/23 Gallagher Premiership season - the final fixture of the calendar year for both clubs and second meeting of the league campaign.

Sale, who currently sit in second place on the Premiership ladder, were victorious  by ten points (16-26) when the sides met back in October at Mattioli Woods Welford Road.

Tigers come into the match unbeaten in their past three league starts, with two wins and a draw, but face a side who have won five of their seven home fixtures so far this season.

Current form aside, Salford City Stadium presents a challenge of its own for Leicester who have not won at the venue in almost five years - when they defeated the Sharks in the final round of the 2017/18 regular season.

The clubs have met on 105 previous occasions, with Leicester holding a 65% win record after 69 victories compared to Sale’s 31 and five draws.

Three players who were members of the Tigers squad when the East Midlands club last won away to the Sharks were Dom Barrow, George Ford and Manu Tuilagi, who now call Sale home.

Richard Wigglesworth takes the Tigers on the road for the first time since being appointed Interim Head Coach less than a fortnight ago and has selected Handrè Pollard for what will be the South African’s first starting appearance - and just second game - for Leicester.

Included on the Tigers bench is Calum Green who, if used, will make his 100th appearance for the club.
