Club partner STIHL are giving one lucky Leicester Tigers supporter the chance to take charge of the historic Welford Road pitch on matchday.

Whether you fancy yourself a skilled gardener or have resolved to tackle your neglected back garden turf whilst self-isolating, this competition is for you!

STIHL have put together a fantastic prize for a garden-loving, Tigers supporter, who will get the chance to spend a day shadowing Tigers Head Groundsperson Ed Mowe on a matchday at Welford Road, pitch-side for a money-can’t-buy experience.

It doesn’t stop there… the winner will also receive a STIHL BGA 56 Cordless Blower, charger and battery, valued at £199 RRP to help them in their own garden.

Entry is simple.

All you have to do is, share pictures of your garden using the hashtag #TigersTurf on Twitter or Instagram and tag @STIHL_GB (Twitter) or @STIHLGB (Instagram).

The best will be shared online by STIHL and Tigers, with the very, very best chosen as the winner by Tigers Head Groundsperson, Ed Mowe

When asked about what he will be looking for when picking the winning entry, Mowe confirmed it wasn’t size that matters.

“It’s all about how creative and detailed you are with the space you have on offer,” said the award-winning Groundsman.

“The most creative and colourful garden that makes you say ‘wow’ will be the one that comes away the winner.

“The best grounds people are those who do the most with what they have available to them.

“Gardening gets you outside, in the fresh air, and is a chance for parents to bond with kids, show off their creativity and build something from nothing that shows off their pride and joy, their home.”

Working from home or not during the lock-down, this time is a great opportunity to get gardening and STIHL have the perfect tools and products for gardeners.
