With the conclusion of the 2018/19 season, Leicester Tigers held its final Supporters’ Forum on the campaign.
Representatives from the club’s fanbase met in the Clubhouse Suite to reflect on the season, as well as look forward to the steps being taken by the club.
The panel shared the Board’s commitment to investing and improving results on the pitch alongside an update of the playing squads’ activity in the pre-season. The World Cup brings a new structure to the league and cup format next season with the European draw taking place on June 19 and Premiership fixtures to be announced on July 10.
Discussions kicked off with the club’s post-match and matchday activity with the rejuvenation of bars like The Droglites and the new TigerBar Marquee as well as some insight into the club’s matchday activity.
More details were shared of the club’s recent announcement of new official caterer Levy UK, who officially took over the matchday and event catering at Welford Road on June 1. The forum and supporter feedback has played a key role in addressing this.
The panel shared news of club’s on-going proposed stadium developments to build a multi-storey car park and hotel on-site, which continue to progress internally, as well as addressing retail queries.
The club also acknowledged efforts of players departing the club as well as looking forward to the impact of new signings and young players coming through the Tigers ranks.
The Supporters’ Forum meets six times each season to discuss issues and events at Welford Road combining with two Open Forums with key figures and coaching staff.
The honest feedback from forum members continues to play a key role in helping the club to shape its focus both on and off the pitch.
